Rapahoe Type

The West Coast is like New Zealand's typographic badlands. It's where all the Mad Max signwriters are hanging out, and some of them also own campgrounds.

One such example is the Rapahoe Bay Holiday Park. About 10 minutes north of Greymouth, this place has probably got the most vernacular vernacular I've ever seen. The place is an antiquated primary school that's been 'converted' in to cabins and campsites.

Unfortunately their website covers up the real charm of the place, so ignore it and imagine the image above is the website, and check the photos out below.
